The Illumination Trilogy
Tepezcohuite Healing Mask ia a restorative mask made with detoxifying kaolin clay, moisturizing and healing tepezcohuite, and calming colloidal oatmeal. Tepezcohuite is the ground bark of a fern-like tree native to tropical regions of Brazil and Southern Mexico. The ancient Mayans used this miraculous ground botanical to treat burns because it is anti-microbial and antiseptic and helps to heal wounds and regenerate skin. Known for centuries as "the skin tree", Tepezcohuite is known to be beneficial for acne, eczema, and skin inflammation. It is combined with kaolin clay to draw out impurities and organic colloidal oatmeal to further ease irritation and inflammation.
Our Pure Rhassoul Lava Clay from the Atlas Mountain region in Morocco is a natural mineral mask rich in silica, magnesium, iron, calcium, and potassium. This fine powered clay has been used for centuries as soap, shampoo, a face and body mask, and to purify, detoxify, nourish, and cleanse the skin while tightening the pores. As a face and body mask, Lava Detox Clay helps to soften the skin, reduce sebum secretion, refresh the skin by removing dead skin cells, and rebalance the skin by drawing out impurities and blackheads and tightening the pores. Used as a shampoo and hair mask, Detox Clay is fantastic for deeply cleansing the hair, removing dead skin cells from the scalp, getting rid of excess oil, and improving the overall health and strength of the hair. To use mix the desired amount of clay with water, Organic Damask Rosewater Toner, or Moroccan Neroli Toner and add a few drops of Organic Cold-Pressed Argan Oil for additional hydration. Mix with fingers until the clay is the desired consistency (more of a paste for a facial mask and thinner and more liquid-like for hair treatments). Apply to face and let sit for 15-30 minutes before rinsing off. To use as a natural shampoo, apply a thin layer of the mixture throughout hair, cleanse hair and scalp as you would with shampoo and rinse. This can also be done once every few months before shampooing to remove residues and product build-up. For a moisturizing hair mask, use only argan oil, jojoba oil, or your favorite pure oil to make a liquid paste and apply mixture allover hair roots to ends. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and shampoo and condition as normal.
