HOLY WOOD

Holy Wood is an aromatherapeutic pulse point oil crafted from the precious essence of the palo santo tree, in a base of nutritive hemp seed oil. Palo santo is spanish for “saint wood” or “holy wood”. This earthy and citrusy essential oil is from a family owned distillery in Ecuador where the wood is sustainably harvested on their own land and the oil is distilled from the heartwood of fallen palo santo trees.

Palo Santo is thought to help clear negative energy (some say that those that harbor negative energy react to the scent of palo santo like “dracula to garlic”) and to have a grounding and calming effect. A mood enhancer, it is used extensively in aromatherapy to combat anxiety and depression and to assist in meditation and making a spiritual connection.

Add a few drops to a bath to relax the senses, soften the skin, and help fight colds and flu.
Use on pulse points as a calming and spiritually uplifting aromatherapeutic perfume oil.
Dab on as an effective insect repellent.

The limited edition topaz perfume was hand blown by GlassRoots and all proceeds from their sale will be donated to the organization. GlassRoots believes that the art of glass blowing can be transformative – located in Newark, NJ their mission is to bring back the richness and vitality of the city by focusing on the creativity of the city’s underserved youth and young adults. Founded in 2001, the school seeks to engage young people with “the fire and danger of glassmaking” - working with 2200 degree fire and molten glass, students are immersed in real-life chemistry, physics, and math and must have the patience and discipline to creatively solve problems while working as a part of a team. As a member of this vibrant community they gain confidence as they experience the power of their own creativity. GlassRoots students are taught invaluable skills of entrepreneurship as they develop and market their own products, and the school provides a workforce development program, scientific glass apprenticeships, and craft entrepreneurship programs to give older students the skills they need to enter the working world.
