Small, intricately designed 800 silver hornet. Though an encounter with a hornet can be unpleasant, these tiny winged creatures are actually thought to be a portent of good fortune. Associated with the spring, because they are dormant or die off in the winter and emerge to pollinate during the ebullient awakening, hornets have come to be associated with bounty, fertility, and the raw sexuality of the warming earth.
