Description

Intricate sterling silver link chain with beautifully iridescent abalone and sterling silver horn charm. A sacred shell, abalone is said to heal the soul and relieve stress. The horn amulet is known in Italy as a corno and is a portafortuna, meaning lucky charm. The horn is known to be protective against the evil eye and some know it as the devil's horn amulet, because it was thought to be shaped like one of the devil's horns. The symbol actually predates Christianity by thousands of years and the original shape is theorized to be that of the horn of an african eland or based on the horns of the old European moon goddess.
