Forrest Lewinger is the Brooklyn ceramicist behind Workaday Handmade, a collection of one-of-a-kind hand-thrown and painted cups, bowls, and vases. Lewinger moved to NYC from Georgia in 2011 and found a job as a potter and production assistant for a high-end ceramicist. A few months in he began dedicating his lunch hour to creating one original piece of artwork per day—clay pieces, glazed a deep blue, that he called lunch pots. Now a full time ceramicist in his own right, Lewinger creates a full collection of vessels and home goods glazed deep, bright colors and with contemporary embellishments like confetti dots, marbling, tortoiseshell and allover geometrics.
