Rough cut malachite specimen block believed to have come from the now abandoned Copper World mine in the Mojave Desert. From the Greek word malakos, meaning soft, malachite is said to be a stone that opens the heart, clears negative energy, and protects one from the evil eye and other detrimental and draining forces.
