Chiltepin Alleviation Oil
Chiltepin Alleviation Oil is an all natural and clean pain relieving spot treatment and rub made with an infusion of chiltepin chilis and meadowsweet in a base of pure castor oil. The use of castor oil for healing dates as far back as Ancient Egypt where this deeply nourishing remedy was thought to protect the eyes from irritation, to ease joint pain, to grow and nourish hair, and to enhance beauty by moisturizing the skin. Castor oil is naturally anti-inflammatory, enhances local immunity by increasing the production of white blood cells and stimulating tissue growth, and can help to reduce pain by calming affected nerves. The castor oil is slow infused by hand with whole wild harvested chiltepin peppers, a native of the Sonoran Desert that lends a gentle warmth and enhances pain relief through the peppers chemical compound, capsaicin. Meadowsweet leaf and flower are added into the infusion because this herb contains natural salicylates, which act similarly to aspirin.
Use this warming oil as a spot treatment on small abrasions and bruises or use as a sports rub by applying oil onto a larger area such as the back, calves, shoulders etc when the area is stiff, inflamed, or painful.
