Lightning Struck Juniper Incense Cones

Description

Our handmade incense cones are created with desert-foraged, lightning-struck Arizona juniper, trees often found clinging to steep, rocky hillsides of the high desert. In folklore, lightning-struck wood is believed to hold immense spiritual energy, the force of the sudden strike said to momentarily unite earth and sky. The resin from the trees has a dry, sacred aroma redolent of sun-warmed bark, wild air, and ancient ground.

How To Use

Place a cone on a heat-safe surface. Light the tip with a match or lighter, and let it flame for 10–15 seconds until a red ember forms. Gently blow out the flame, allowing the cone to smolder and release the smoke.

  • Never leave burning incense unattended.
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
  • Use in a well-ventilated space.
  • Allow ash to cool completely before disposing.

Our incense cones are handmade in Sedona, Arizona. Our herbalist partner, Clare, forages the steep, rocky hillsides of the high desert looking for tiny pearls of resin and wood from junipers that have been struck by lightning, causing a visible scar on the trunk.

Lightning Struck Juniper Incense Cones
Juniper, revered as a purifier and protector, is transformed by that sudden, violent illumination. What was once resilient becomes charged with new power. Traditionally, wood touched by lightning was gathered and burned to clear heavy or stagnant energy, to sharpen the spiritual senses, and to open a channel between the visible and the unseen.
