Our holiday 2024 collection is inspired by Pliny The Elder's astonishing and celebrated multi-volume opus, The Natural History, completed in 77 CE. Known as the world’s very first encyclopedia, The Natural History is said to have been an “indispensable compendium of knowledge…on everything from the moon, to elephants, to the efficacy of ground millipedes in healing ulcers.” So fanatical in his curiosity for the peculiarities of the natural world around him, it was said that Pliny rarely slept and only sat still when recording his thousands of observations. Seeking to immortalize such a portal into early environmental fascination, our 2024 holiday collection is a whimsical menagerie of heirloom quality vanity pieces that have been crafted from our own scavenged finds from the natural world, new and exquisite scents created with rare botanical ingredients, a brand new line of Japanese indigo dyed sakura wood makeup brushes, and so much more.
