This lively, verdant candle is inspired by the layered, living scent of the natural world. Grounding and meditative, it is a moment of stillness for the home, created with notes of cool morning moss, tangled summer grasses, and crisp violet leaves. Each candle is hand poured in Brooklyn, New York and the matte black vessels are made and printed in the USA.

How To Use

Trim wicks to ¼” prior to each lighting. Do not allow wick trimmings to accumulate in wax pool. Do not allow water or any other liquids or foreign substances to accumulate atop candle. Place candle on temperature safe / non-flammable surface. Container will be hot when candle is lit and shortly thereafter. Allow candle to cool completely before moving. Keep candle away from drafts. For best results, burn candle no less than 1 hour and no more than 3 hours at a time. Discontinue use when ½” of wax remains. Always leave at least 10 cm between burning candles.

A verdant, earthbound scent – soft grass and velveteen moss just after rain, crushed stems between eager fingers. Cool, shaded, and quietly alive, it unfolds in deep green layers: oakmoss and balsam give it a damp, resinous depth, cedarwood and vetiver root the composition in dry wood and soil, while violet leaf adds a fresh, dewy lift.

Each candle is hand poured in the USA by renowned Brooklyn-based fragrance house Joya Studio, using a clean-burning soy wax blend from the US and natural fiber wicks.

Our candles are created with the same spirit and ethos that we have poured into our Slow Beauty over the years. We use natural scents created in collaboration with an American fragrance house that has decades of experience translating botanicals into nuanced scents for the home. They are intentionally softer in their diffusion than many conventional candles. Rather than relying on synthetic fragrance boosters or aggressive aroma chemicals, we use natural aromatic materials that unfold more gently and beautifully in a space. The effect is subtler, more atmospheric – designed to enhance a room, not overpower it.
