With an extraordinarily small perfume yield, it takes tonnes of petals to produce mere ounces of its precious oil. The scent is celebrated for its ability to read sensually without the weight of more opulent florals – osmanthus has luminous notes of apricot and peach, a dash of bright citrus, and an undercurrent of tea leaves and velvet suede.
To achieve the depth of Osma we've layered a handmade enfleurage fusion of hyacinth and mock orange over the osmanthus flower. Both are crafted through enfleurage, an ancient method of perfumery that can take months because the concentrated oils are achieved without any heat or chemical solvents.
