Persephone's Return Serum
Spotted by Hades as she sat in a field of flowers, Persephone was taken to the underworld by the nefarious god as his bride and tricked into eating three pomegranate seeds, sealing her fate to remain in his dark lair for three months of each year. Her mother Demeter, the goddess of the earth, enraged and bereft by the loss of her daughter, halted the growth of living things while Persephone was away, creating the cold and barren winter. When her daughter was allowed to return, Demeter, in her joy, allowed the earth to blossom into Spring's abundance once more.
How To Use:
Pat a few drops around the sensitive eye area, into the forehead, and where laugh lines occur. Gently massage into the skin and let soak naturally into the dermis for a plump, quenched complexion. Apply to freshly cleansed skin before facial oils or creams.
Ingredients:
Pomegranate is anti-inflammatory and a rich source of phytoestrogens, plant-derived molecules that can mimic some of the effects of estrogen on the skin.
Strawberry seed oil is loaded with vitamins, including high levels of collagen preserving vitamin C, and naturally rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Strawberry oil is especially helpful in protecting against environmental stressors due to its high concentrations of ellagic acid.
Amla seed oil, also known as Indian gooseberry, is from a small fruit tree with yellow-green flowers that blossom into pale colored edible berries. High in antioxidant vitamin-C, amla seed is wonderfully hydrating and plumping for mature skin and may help prevent the breakdown of collagen.
Shea nut oil adds powerful nutrition with its high level of vitamins A, E, F and natural fatty acids. An effective hydrator, shea nut oil restores the skin barrier, locking moisture below the surface, making it harder for the delicate skin of the face to become dry. The oil is light, won’t clog pores, and leaves skin refreshed without a greasy residue.
