Organic jasmine flower perfume solid in a hand blown glass jar with cork seal.  Handmade by one of the only perfumers in the world still practicing the ancient and labor intensive art of enfleurage scent extraction with jasmine.

Jasmine Enfleurage

Using this technique, fresh jasmine flowers are placed on glass chassis in a plant based fat and the blossoms are changed for fresh ones every day for 45 days. At the end of the process, the fat is slowly infused with the pure, rich scent from the exhaling flowers, creating a subtle perfume that is true to the living profile of the wild flower.

Jasmine

The full, rich, and sweet scent of jasmine has been used for centuries to arouse the baser animal instincts and supercharge the libido. Known as “the perfume of love”, precious jasmine oil is thought to mimic animal musk and has been described as smelling like sweat. White flowers contain a compound called indole which when broken down has a heady, musky scent that is arousing because of this association with sweat soaked skin and animalistic passion. Known for centuries as one of the strongest natural aphrodisiacs, ancient perfumers cautioned that young virgins should never be allowed to pick in fields of white flowers.
