A multi-faceted experience, Earthly is at once a solitary walk in the chill autumn woodland and a magical adventure in the tall, swaying grasses of a late summer night. Fresh and lively, with pure lilac enfleurage and firm, young violet leaf, the crisp grassiness of the scent is tempered with rounder, creamier base notes of oakmoss, cedar, and vetiver.
Our lilac enfleurage and violet oils that are used in this precious perfume are handmade on a female owned, organic farm dedicated to the propagation and preservation of local lilacs in New York State. Graceful and subtle blossoms, lilac and violet blossoms don’t lend themselves to harsh, modern methods of oil extraction – so much of their true essence is lost with these methods that the scent profile becomes unrecognizable. Our oils are handmade using the ancient and laborious method of enfleurage, an extraction process that does not employ heat or chemical solvents, and the wonderful oils created are true to the experience of the living plant.
