Yield French Presses are made in partnership with a Fair Trade ceramics house in an ancient village near Hanoi, Vietnam. With a 700 year history of ceramics production passed down through generations, the manufacturer upholds high standards, paying workers a fair wage and providing ethical and supportive working conditions. When Yield works with manufacturers outside of the U.S., they take very seriously their responsibility to appropriately vet partners to ensure alignment in terms of ethics and sustainability.
Yield is based in the coastal town of Saint Augustine, FL, the oldest European settlement in the U.S. Blending traditional American craft and ingenuity with the new tools that modern technology has put at our disposal, Yield strives to create beautiful, sustainable and ethical items for the home. "All these factors must be considered to create something of true worth", according to founders Rachel Gant and Andrew Deming. "Anything created at someone else’s expense is not beautiful and the manufacturing of disposable goods for short term benefit has robbed our natural resources for too long. We bear a responsibility to create timeless pieces that last. Buy for keeps or please do not buy at all".
