After a childhood partially spent being home schooled on her family's sailboat – The Ursa Major – jewelry designer Kate Jones says her inspiration for her work comes back time and again to the stillness of the sea. Each minimal and refined piece of the Ursa Major is handmade in her San Francisco studio and is designed as a modern heirloom – contemporary and relevant today, but classic and timeless enough to be passed on to future generations.
