Intricately designed and beautifully worked 1950's hallmarked guilloché enamel serpent bracelet created by the artist known as "Margot De Taxco". Most famous for her work with enamels, Margot van Voorhies Carr was one of the early artists to make Taxco, Mexico famous for its hand worked silver jewelry. At the time the area was a haven for artists and bon vivants and it is where she met her husband Antonio Castillo and became the principal designer in their workshop “Los Castillo”. The artist eventually went out on her own and released designs under the name Margo De Taxco after their divorce in 1946.

This bracelet is vintage.
Piece has an approximately 2 1/4" diameter inside when closed but bracelet opens with a hinge to put on and off.
