Merz b Schwanen
Merz b Schwanen is the passion of designer Peter Plotnicki. Driven by the desire to resurrect traditional German manufacturing, Plotnicki took over the hundred year old Merz b Schwanen and has his classic garments made using their 1920s-1950s circular knitting machines in the Swabian Alps. Every detail is considered – shirt bodies are all one piece with no side seam, tags are woven on a traditional jacquard loom from the 19th century, buttons are genuine mother of pearl, and even the shirt boxes are produced by a German family business following the original design.
