Jewelry has always been part of Kindred Black. Even as we’ve evolved and expanded our world of Slow Beauty, we’ve kept the jewelry collection because we are collectors ourselves, endlessly fascinated by the history, provenance, and the lives these pieces have been a part of before reaching us. As we prepare for an exciting new era of Kindred Black jewelry, we’ve made the decision to part with much of the current collection to make space for what’s next. We don’t believe beautiful vintage and antique pieces should be scrapped or melted down. These objects have survived decades, sometimes centuries, and maybe we’re a little superstitious about the stories and history that would disappear with them. In the coming weeks, we’ll be selling off the collection to an estate jeweler we’ve worked with for years.
