Description
Antique sterling silver pansy brooch with a gold wash, black enameling, and a small center pearl. The pansy takes its name from the French pensée, meaning “thought.” In the Victorian language of flowers, the pansy represented remembrance and a gentle, contemplative form of love. Gifting a pansy was a way of saying, “You are in my thoughts.”
