Description
Vintage specimen, a Saguaro boot is a hard shell of plant tissue that the Saguaro cactus creates when a bird comes to nest. When a cactus dweller pecks a hole through the cactus’ skin, it creates a sap that overtime hardens turning into a bark like material. The nest is not possible without the work of the bird and the reaction of the Saguaro. Once the original homemaker moves on, the cavity becomes a home to another. A symbol of interconnection and resilience.
