Description

Decadent and unusual necklace with an antique Victorian rock crystal charm rimmed in 14k gold, featuring symbols of enchantment and luck – a wishbone intertwined with a diamond studded crescent moon. A particularly mystical motif, the crescent moon is the oldest known symbol, dating back to the second millennium BC. A feminine symbol associated with the moon goddess, the crescent is used to denote female empowerment, enlightenment, and new beginnings. A symbol of luck for more than 2000 years, the tradition of breaking the wishbone is thought to have started with the ancient Etruscans, who believed that chickens were capable of divining the future. Some also believe that as the shape resembles the crescent moon, a wishbone can be magical, granting love, luck, and fulfilling the secret wishes of the heart.
