Deadly and enchanting creatures from mythology, the Sirens were bird-women living on a remote Greek island that lured passing sailors to their death with bewitching songs. The soft, seductive music promised whatever the sailors longed for most but as soon as they veered toward it, their ship would crash on the rocks surrounding the island. The Sirens lived surrounded by a mountain of bones until they were finally outwitted by Odysseus and drowned.
