







Roxana Casillas
Roxana Casillas is a Mexican born sculptor living and working in Palm Springs, California. Trained by master artisans in Pietrasanta in the Tuscany region of Italy, she initially specialized in marble carving. Refining her skill as an apprentice to several noted sculptors in the marble studios of Palla Scultore, Frattelli Cacciatori and Bottega Versiliese, Casillas got her first major solo commission in 1995 – a 10 ft tall marble sculpture for Our Lady of Guadalupe Plaza in San Diego, California. Some of her other important projects are The Stations of the Cross for El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, Reiss Project, a private chapel in La Jolla, and a Tribute to Woody Herman in association with PBS for the Douglas Fairbanks Gardens in Los Angeles.
