Description

Small sterling silver butterfly. Exceptionally beautiful and graceful, butterflies can also represent rebirth, transformation and change. Tohono O'odham legend holds that butterflies were made by the world's creator when it gathered colors from all around the land into a sack and shook them up – orange and yellow sunlight, green leaves, blue sky, white cornmeal, and the blackness of a beautiful girl's hair were released into the air as thousands of brilliantly colored butterflies.
