Elegant mid-century 14k gold and coral ring. During the Victorian period coral was given to children to protect them from becoming a changeling, a fairy child swapped and left in the place of a human child. Still thought to have protective powers, coral is said to guard against demonic powers, curses, and the destructive forces of the Evil Eye.
